PB&P Dog Treats

chock full of protein, healthy fats, and some fiber, these treats are sure to make your dog wag its tail!

PB&P Dog Treats

All you need is four ingredients to make these easy Peanut Butter and Pumpkin dog treats.  These little bit-sized treats aren’t only yummy for your pup, but it is good for him/her, too!

PB&P Dog Treats

Pumpkin helps with the dog’s digestion tract.  Gus had a problem when one of his (TMI warning) anal glands ruptured.  It was not a pleasant sight.  The vet suggested giving him a spoonful of pumpkin in his kibble once a day to help regulate his.. um.. anal secretions.  Okay, I’m done with that! (TMI warning over)

You have some healthy fats with the peanut butter.  Gus drools over peanut butter.  I don’t’ know if all dogs like peanut butter, but all the dogs I know love peanut butter.  The greek yogurt gives the treats a hefty amount of protein which is great for your dog’s muscles and such.

PB&P Dog Treats

1 cup 100% pumpkin
1 cup greek yogurt (unflavored)
1/2 cup peanut butter (I used my Fluffy Honey one)
1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour

Preheat the oven to 350*.

In a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin, yogurt, and peanut butter until smooth.  Slowly combine the flour until well-mixed.

Using a scooper (mine was a 3 tsp one) scoop uniform balls onto a greased baking sheet.  Bake for 12-15 minutes.  Let cool and give your dog a treat!

Store in the refrigerator.

This recipe makes about 64 dog treats in all.

Gus and treat

I hope your pup enjoys them as much as Gus!

Take care,
