Homemade Pecan Butter

This recipe is insane.  Insanely awesome.

Smooth, creamy, protein-packed, and slightly sweet, this easy recipe is wonderfully delicious.

Homemade Pecan Butter

All you need is some pecans, a few ingredients, and a food processor to make this yummy (yet healthy!) recipe.  Without further ado…

Homemade Pecan Butter

  • 3 cups of unsalted raw pecans
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1 Tbl. brown sugar

Dry roast the pecans.  You can do this in either a skillet or an oven.  I put them in the oven on 350* for about 15 minutes.  Once they are slightly crunchy and fragrant, you know they are done.

Next, in a food processor, pulse the pecans, cinnamon, sea salt, and brown sugar.  Pulse until it is a thick, yet smooth consistency.



Store in an air-tight container and put it in the refrigerator for future use.

This nut butter is very versatile, and addicting.  I put it on my english muffin for breakfast.  So good!  My mom made a PB&J with it (pecan butter and marmalade).  She liked it, too.

  1. Ohh this looks gorgeous! I made peanut butter, almond butter and cashew butter over Christmas and they were a huge success. Pecans are one of my favourite nuts so I definitely need to try this!
