Luna Bar Review – Part 2

Continuing on my Luna Bar series, here is part two!  If you missed part one, here it is. 🙂

This bar is the perfect mix of sweet and salty.  You get the sweetness from the honey and the saltiness and crunch from the pretzels and peanuts. If you don’t like honey, do not fear.  The flavor is not distinctly “honey”.  It is more of a subtle sweetness.

There are chunks of pretzel, honey chips, and peanuts.  This bar is soft yet crunchy.  The Peanut Honey Pretzel flavor is by far my favor texture from any other Luna Bar.  There are a ton of elements going on in one bite.

Last, but not least, like every other Luna Bar, there is a glaze on the bottom.  It is the same as the chips on the top (you can see the chips in the picture above.)

Over all, this is a nice treat if you are craving something sweet and salty.

My Rating- 4/5

This bar reminds me of Christmas.  How can it not?  It has a great peppermint flavor with added chocolate.  Need I say more?  Unlike the other bars, this one is completely made of chocolate.  I do love chocolate!

This has a crunchy texture.  There is not any gooey softness like in the Blueberry Bliss.  The texture is very one dimensional.  For that, I am a bit disappointed.  No chunks of anything, just the crunchy grains.

The flavor though, is superb.  There is an equal flavor of both chocolate and peppermint.  If you ever had Andes Mints, this just tastes like a crunchier, bigger version.  The white glaze on the bottom has a distinct peppermint flavor, I assume almost all of the peppermint comes from that glaze while the bar adds the chocolate element.

Chocolate Peppermint Stick

My Rating 3.5/5

This bar is so good.  I am a huge fan of nut butters.  This Luna bar lacks on texture but it makes it all up from the flavor.  If you love peanut butter like I do, this is the bar for you!

As you can see, there are some globs of peanut butter holding it together.  There are just the crunchy grains in the bar so not chunks of peanuts are in there.  If it very reminiscent of a peanut butter cookie but not as soft and chewy.  The flavor is pretty good though.

IMG_3738 The glaze on the bottom is my favorite part!  It is, of course, peanut butter flavored.  It has a nice rich peanut buttery flavor to it.  With the glaze and the bar, this flavor adds a serious nut butter punch.  Yum!

My Rating 4.5/5

There are still more flavors to post, so keep checking on some new flavor reviews!
